Our team of coaches all have one thing in common -- they are extremely passionate about helping our members achieve fitness results that transfer to all areas of life. The community of members is some of the most encouraging and supportive people you'll find.
  • LaTisha “Tish” Wilkinson

    Head Coach, Owner

    Owner and Coach Tish loves encouraging her clients to push themselves. “I get to experience their excitement with them when new goals have been reached!”

    Tish has 10 years of CrossFit experience and a background playing basketball and snowboarding. She specializes in Olympic lifting, Motivation, Endurance, being a good listener and a jokester.

    After a military move brought her to Mississippi in 2011, she saw the need for fitness in the Ocean Springs community. She says, “As an experienced CrossFit coach, I saw a need for innovative fitness in the larger Ocean Springs area. After I moved from Anchorage, Alaska to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, I opened my own CrossFit box and wanted to build the dynamic community that we’re so proud of today. One of the best things about our business is the way anyone can join us for a workout and receive the attention they need–no matter their fitness level. Our WODs are transformative as well as completely customizable to your personal goals. This way, you’ll see instant gains. I enjoy helping the gulf coast community achieve fitness/healthy goals.”

    Another thing to know about Tish–born and raised in Alaska, she travels back every summer for 7 weeks to commercial fish in the cold waters of the Bristol Bay, Naknek Alaska–part of her Alaska Native Athabaskan culture.  She says, “Being an Alaskan commercial fisherman is a huge part of who I am today.”

  • Justin Lewis


    Coach Justin Lewis was first introduced to Crossfit in 2014 while in the police academy. Due to the athletic nature of his role as a law enforcement officer, he was required to maintain a certain level of fitness to pass his PT tests. The addition of CrossFit as part of his daily routine led him to attend so regularly that coaching seemed like a natural next-step. With this background, he specializes in helping athletes master fundamental movements, and application of the movements in the real world.

    Justin loves the community aspect of CrossFit. He says, “There’s nothing like the camaraderie built between people who are working towards common goals.” While he may like helping others meet their goals, ultimately Justin believes that it all starts with oneself. “You gotta take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone else. Lead by example.”

  • Charles Reese


    Coach Charles works hard to train athletes practicing weightlifting, kettlebell movements, and gymnastics. He is passionate for helping others, especially new athletes with very little athletic experience. “I love being able to help them move toward their goals.”

    Stemming from experiences with sports like soccer and baseball, Charles has a unique past that led him to becoming such a passionate coach. While in high school, Charles found himself leading an unhealthy lifestyle experimenting with drugs and alcohol. But in 2014, he enrolled in a treatment center in Austin, Texas. As part of the three month treatment program, he would go to the nearby CrossFit gym four times a week. His experience there changed his life. “This is where my eyes were opened to fitness. Once I got out of treatment I enrolled in a program called Project Phenix which helps men in recovery with a free CrossFit membership for six months,” he says. “Within the first year of training at Westlake CrossFit, the owner asked me if I would be interested in coaching. This is where my coaching career began.”

    After a few years of coaching both group classes and personal training, and balancing this with coaching people in recovery at various treatment centers, he recently has moved back to Ocean Springs to be closer to his family. He continues to hold a passion for helping athletes of all fitness levels and backgrounds reach goals they never thought they could reach.

  • Mike Panasuk


    Mike Panasuk is a coach here at CrossFit Ocean Springs. He specializes in Olympic Weightlifting and has a keen eye for programming supplemental movements that provide tremendous results in the main lifts. Mobility designed to prevent injuries is a huge part of each of his classes.

    “I looked like a deer in the headlights the first time I walked into a CrossFit box. I had worked out, but never done CrossFit. The coaches at the box made me feel welcome. When a new person walks through the door, I treat them the same way I was treated on day 1.”

    Mike comes to CrossFit Ocean Springs as a collegiate wrestler. The community aspect of CrossFit Ocean Springs is the perfect fit for someone like Mike that thrives in a team environment.

    “The most exciting moment is watching an athlete reach one of their goals they set out to accomplish. Whether it’s helping someone get their very first box jump or muscle up, having even a small part in that makes me proud to be a coach and excited to see them improve.”

  • Dee Scott


    As a coach at CrossFit Ocean Springs, Dee Scott is passionate about helping members achieve beyond what they thought possible. “There is no better feeling than seeing someone not only reach a personal goal, but blow it out the water with hard work and persistence!”

    Dee comes to us from a high school and collegiate cheerleading background where he was part of 5 National Championship teams. He was also a member of Team USA, representing the United States in the World Cheerleading Championships.

    Prior to coaching CrossFit, he coached tumbling and cheerleading. Needless to say, he specialty at CrossFit Ocean Springs is gymnastics.

    “I love to see how close our members are. People don’t just come in to workout, they are like family. Cracking jokes with each other and just having a blast. It is a community, not just another gym.”

  • Emily Satterfield


    Emily has a competitive athletic background that includes swimming, dance, gymnastics, softball, soccer, track and field, cross country, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, and equitation.  While being a part of all these teams was rewarding, none of these sports ever inspired her in the way that CrossFit has.  She currently works as a Marine Biologist for the state of Mississippi.

    She is passionate about all things outdoors and always looking for the next new experience.

    I love to coach because CrossFit made me better at life.  It’s been life changing for me, and helping others change their lives for the better is a reward beyond measure.
